Hello Guiding families -
Please come along to our North Canberra District Annual General Meeting to be held
2018 Wednesday 11th April - 7pm.
This is your chance to find out what has been happening and/or what it is all about - so do take the opportunity if you can
We welcome any parents who would like to be part of the support group too. Don't worry about being roped in, we do not take nominations from the floor!
Nominations: Please get in touch if you would like to nominate to be on the Support Group Committee.
Your contribution to the running of the district would be most appreciated,
so it is worth considering if you'd be able to help in someway. Talk to a guide leader, Jill or Anne if you'd like to know what might be involved, however large or small.
Thanks Anne and Jill!!
Anne our district leader will hand over her District Leader duties to be taken up by Jill for a number of months. Thanks for taking this on!
So Jill will step out of the Guides unit but will help out at Gumnuts.
Our very own Gumnuts leader, Eerin, has been awarded the very prestigious Wattle Award - for outstanding service to girl guides over the last several decade, for local and interstate activities. Eerin has been running our beautiful gumnuts program for the last 20years, she is also our resident cannoeing lady, without which our girls wouldn't be able to have so much fun out on the water, and this is only a small mention of all the fabulous contributions she has made to guiding and for our girls! Thanks so much and Congratulations! very well deserved!
Would you be able to spare one hour between 2.00pm-4.00pm on Sunday 31 July? We need your help for our annual working bee when we perform some maintenance on the guide hall.
-paint the toilet cubicle
-fix window catch
-general clean up.
Any time you could contribute would be greatly appreciated.
